It’s the most wonderful time of the year. The Choir’s traditional Christmas Concerts are almost here!

This year we have two locations:
  • December 1 and 3 at 8pm in the magnificent Cathedral of the Madeleine.  Admission is free, but limited to those over 6 years of age.
  • December 17 at 7pm in the LDS Chapel at 8350 South Jackson Street, Midvale.  Admission is free and open to those of all ages.
The concert will include works Orlando di Lasso, Antonio Vivaldi, and other early masters–as well as much-loved carols from around the world, including “Lo, How a Rose, E’er Blooming,” “Angels o’er the Fields,” “Still,Still,Still,” and “Il est né le divin Enfant.”  Also heard will be “Panis Angelicus” by César Franck and two selections from Benjamin Britten’s “Ceremony of Carols” as well as “Gloria al Rey” and “Little Star” by the director.  The evening will conclude with combined choirs, choir alumni and audience joining  in several carol favorites–accompanied by Ken Udy, organist.  Harp accompaniment for the evening will be by Lysa Rytting.

In the middle of the month, the Choir has the exciting opportunity to be guests of the Salt Lake Choral Artists at their Christmas Concerts.

It will be a magical concert season this year, as always! We look forward to singing for you.
